Uber’s latest gouge to drivers arrives at the same time Oregon becomes the 21st state, plus Washington, DC, to warn its citizens that ‘ridesharing’ insurance is unsafe. Specifically, the Oregon insurance warning urges prospective ‘ridesharing’ drivers to seek legal counsel before signing any agreement with Uber or Lyft AND suggests drivers contact their personal insurance to determine whether or not they should purchase a commercial policy.
Seriously: How many jobs in America recommend you to seek legal counsel before you start working?
One day Uber drivers may reflect on their experience in the same way those of us who’ve worked telemarketing jobs do: It sucked. I’ll never go back.
